The objective is to enrich the visitor experience through the design of tourist itineraries that express, using augmented reality, the local culture of the places. The idea is to enhance the visitor experience by combining the physical one with the virtual one in order to create greater engagement.
Furthermore, to enrich the visitor experience, the project will use extended reality, applying cultural heritage, to put the user at the center and create content in a sustainable way.
he innovativeness of the project materializes in:
•connect places of interest that represent textile culture throughout the Insubrian territory, themed based on visitor preferences, visit period and other factors
• stimulate the narration of the local history of the area with the establishment of a laboratory created with students of the degree courses in "Tourism sciences" and "Hospitality for Sustainable tourism development"
• develop responsible communication, raising awareness among the local population and visitors of the principles of sustainable development at an economic, environmental and social level
• contribution of the University to the development of a virtuous model that can be successfully replicated in other entrepreneurial realities.
ERR intends to actively involve the smaller villages by developing tourist itineraries designed to highlight the rich industrial culture of the area. The objective is to manage tourist flows to direct them to smaller villages to prolong the average potential stay in the entire territory.
