Fashion has always played a leading role in the Italian budget: universally recognized as strategic for our country and for Milan, the “capital” of the sector. Despite its undoubted importance, the world of work lacks professional figures with adequate legal knowledge of the “fashion world”. This course, now in its twelfth edition, was the first post-graduate university course to address in a systematic and articulated way the various legal issues that the fashion supply chain presents. The aim of the course is, therefore, to offer an in-depth study of skills in the fashion sector to legal professionals active within fashion companies, to those who work closely with these companies (lawyers and consultants), as well as to train those who aspire to fill these roles.

The function of the course proposed here can be summarized in the satisfaction of the needs for specialized professional training in a sector that is one of the areas of greatest use of highly qualified human resources. The employment opportunities are multiple and concern all the various aspects of the fashion supply chain.

Among other career opportunities, we can mention:
1. large law firms that provide consultancy for large companies or boutique firms specializing in the fashion sector;
2. the legal departments of large fashion companies or groups that – for their activity – require experts in the legal sector;
3. trade associations, which for the activity carried out by the associated companies must serve as a point of reference for consultancy in this sector (think of Sistema Moda Italia and the National Chamber of Italian Fashion);
4. companies that deal with consultancy and communication in this sector in various capacities;
5. institutions that deal with the fight against counterfeiting of luxury goods
