MICS Roadshow and NODES: on March 26 in Turin to talk about additive manufacturing and sustainability

The focus of the event will be the role of advanced technologies in the “Twin Transition.” Among the speakers will be Chiara L.G. Ferroni, General Director of NODES.
On March 26, 2025, the next stop of the MICS – Made in Italy Circular and Sustainable Roadshow will take place at the Conference Center of the Unione Industriali in Turin, an initiative dedicated to promoting more sustainable and digitalized production models.
The event will bring together representatives from institutions, academia, and the production system to analyze the transformative potential of additive manufacturing and advanced production within the context of the Twin Transition.
3D printing technologies, intelligent automation, and process efficiency will be at the heart of the panels, with the goal of exploring the opportunities these innovations offer to improve flexibility, reduce waste, and enable new business models. Register now for the event
A content-rich program
The day will begin at 9:30 AM with institutional greetings from the Deputy Mayor of Turin, Michela Favaro, and Claudia Porchietto, Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Piedmont Region.
This will be followed by three thematic panels moderated by Giuseppe Bottero, Deputy Director of La Stampa:
Panel 1 | The Factory of the Future
An in-depth look at industrial digitization and innovation, with contributions from representatives of AI4I, AIzoON Technology Consulting, Unione Industriali Torino, Zest S.p.A., and AITeM.
Panel 2 | Additive and SMART Manufacturing
A focus on the potential of additive manufacturing, with insights from experts from Prima Additive, CIM 4.0, Avio Aero, AIDRO, and the academic contribution of Politecnico di Torino.
Panel 3 | The World, Europe, and Territories: Initiatives for Sustainability
A discussion of key strategies and programs to promote sustainable transition at the local and European levels, with the participation of representatives from ENEA, the EU Representation in Italy, Compagnia di San Paolo, MICS, and the NODES Innovation Ecosystem represented by General Director Chiara L.G. Ferroni.
The day will conclude with closing remarks by Paolo Fino, Vice President of MICS, followed by a networking lunch.
