Academic research and its impact on business development and the Northwest region will take center stage at the event, thanks to the Academic PoCs.   On May 27 and 28, 2025, the NODES’ Tech Sharing Days will take place at the Politecnico di Torino—an event entirely dedicated to sustainable innovation and technology transfer, where academic research meets the business world, creating new opportunities for the Northwest. Over the course of the two days, more than 60 Academic Proofs of Concept (PoCs) will be showcased, developed within the NODES – Nord Ovest Digitale e Sostenibile project and funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research through PNRR – NextGenerationEU resources. The projects—led by researchers from eight universities and ecosystem partners—span a wide range of sectors: from sustainable mobility to green technologies, from healthcare to tourism, as well as mountain innovation and agri-food. Their common goal: to transform applied research into concrete, market-ready solutions. Research teams will have access to a large exhibition area set up in the courtyard of the Politecnico, where they will display prototypes, materials, and results, engaging directly with investors, stakeholders, and businesses. The event will also feature thematic pitch sessions, where each PoC will be presented in a 5-minute pitch to a professional audience. Researchers will have the opportunity to present the outcomes of their PoCs through various pitch sessions and exhibition spaces located in the main courtyard. Attendees will be able to explore prototypes up close, engage with the researchers, and connect with entrepreneurs, investors, and stakeholders to foster potential future collaborations. The program also includes two strategic roundtables: On Tuesday, May 27, 2025: Innovation and Technology Transfer as a Driver of Business Growth On Wednesday, May 28, 2025: Connections Between Sustainability, Innovation, and Regional Development, with a focus on key sectors of the Northwest.   Organized by the NODES Ecosystem together with Politecnico di Torino, lead partner of the project, the Tech Sharing Days represent a crucial moment for exchange, openness, and collaboration. A unique opportunity to discover emerging innovations, foster synergies between research and business, and contribute to the sustainable development of the territory. The event will also feature informal networking moments, including light lunches and refreshments based on local products, highlighting the gastronomic excellence of the NODES Ecosystem. The focus of the event will be the role of advanced technologies in the “Twin Transition.” Among the speakers will be Chiara L.G. Ferroni, General Director of NODES. On March 26, 2025, the next stop of the MICS – Made in Italy Circular and Sustainable Roadshow will take place at the Conference Center of the Unione Industriali in Turin, an initiative dedicated to promoting more sustainable and digitalized production models.   The event will bring together representatives from institutions, academia, and the production system to analyze the transformative potential of additive manufacturing and advanced production within the context of the Twin Transition. 3D printing technologies, intelligent automation, and process efficiency will be at the heart of the panels, with the goal of exploring the opportunities these innovations offer to improve flexibility, reduce waste, and enable new business models. Register now for the event   A content-rich program The day will begin at 9:30 AM with institutional greetings from the Deputy Mayor of Turin, Michela Favaro, and Claudia Porchietto, Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Piedmont Region. This will be followed by three thematic panels moderated by Giuseppe Bottero, Deputy Director of La Stampa:   Panel 1 | The Factory of the Future An in-depth look at industrial digitization and innovation, with contributions from representatives of AI4I, AIzoON Technology Consulting, Unione Industriali Torino, Zest S.p.A., and AITeM.   Panel 2 | Additive and SMART Manufacturing A focus on the potential of additive manufacturing, with insights from experts from Prima Additive, CIM 4.0, Avio Aero, AIDRO, and the academic contribution of Politecnico di Torino.   Panel 3 | The World, Europe, and Territories: Initiatives for Sustainability A discussion of key strategies and programs to promote sustainable transition at the local and European levels, with the participation of representatives from ENEA, the EU Representation in Italy, Compagnia di San Paolo, MICS, and the NODES Innovation Ecosystem represented by General Director Chiara L.G. Ferroni.   The day will conclude with closing remarks by Paolo Fino, Vice President of MICS, followed by a networking lunch. From Thursday, October 24 to Saturday, October 26, 2024, the fifth edition of "Fabbriche Aperte Piemonte" (Open Factories of Piedmont) will take place. This initiative, organized by the Piedmont Region, offers the opportunity to visit industrial production sites in the Piedmont area for free. More than 130 plants will open their doors, allowing the public to discover the value hidden inside factories, plants, and laboratories that represent the region's economic and technological excellence. The NODES (Northwest Digital and Sustainable) Innovation Ecosystem will participate in the event through some of its key project partners.  

The webinars for enterprises@NODES are resuming.   On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the second part of the in-depth exploration of the ATWORK platform, the tool provided by the MUR for managing PNRR funds, will take place. In the first part, the companies funded by NODES through cascade calls discovered how to use the tools for monitoring and reporting phases of their projects.   In this episode of "No panic with ATWORK", the new features will be explained, and the most common mistakes to avoid during the critical phases of uploading will be illustrated.   The workshop is reserved for: Companies approved for funding Coordinators of funded projects

L'Ecosistema partecipa con i suoi ricercatori agli eventi ad Alessandria, Aosta, Como, Cuneo, Pavia e Torino Venerdì 27 e sabato 28 settembre 2024 si svolgerà la Notte Europea delle Ricercatrici e dei Ricercatori, l'iniziativa promossa dalla Commissione Europea che coinvolge ogni anno migliaia di ricercatori e istituzioni di ricerca in tutti i Paesi europei. NODES e i ricercatori dei 7 Spoke dell'Ecosistema saranno presenti nelle diverse città degli Atenei partners del progetto con laboratori, stand, workshop, convegni, visite guidate nei luoghi della ricerca ed eventi gratuiti aperti al pubblico di ogni età. On Monday, September 9th, NODES will participate in the event bringing together the 11 Innovation Ecosystems funded by the PNRR, titled "Tech4You: Convergence and Sustainability in Innovation Ecosystems" to be held in Rome at the Faculty of Engineering of the Sapienza University, organized by the "Magna Grecia" University of Catanzaro and Tech4You.   The workshop represents a moment of meeting and discussion, aimed at evaluating the potential technological convergence of research teams from the various Innovation Ecosystems and the possible definition of a shared pipeline of projects and applications, as an operational lever to ensure the future financial and strategic sustainability of the Innovation Ecosystems. 

On Wednesday, July 24, NODES will participate in the event "Innovation Ecosystems: results, impacts, challenges" organized by the iNEST Consortium at Palazzo del Bo in the Rectorate of the University of Padova, bringing together the 11 Innovation Ecosystems funded by the PNRR.   Having reached over halfway through the PNRR's planned course, a comparative event among the various Ecosystems is certainly useful for a common reflection on the upcoming challenges: the completion of the projects, the enhancement of the human resources involved and the skills acquired, and the consolidation of the Ecosystems themselves.

Martedì 16 Luglio 2024 dalle ore 11.00 alle 16.00, nella splendida cornice di Villa San Remigio a Verbania, si terrà la quarta General Assembly dell'Ecosistema dell'Innovazione NODES - Nord Ovest Digitale E Sostenibile.    Dopo il meeting di Pavia dello scorso Febbraio, in cui si sono stati messi in evidenza i numeri confortanti del progetto e in cui si è potuta tastare con mano l’ampia partecipazione degli addetti ai lavori, questa volta l'Ecosistema si incontrerà sulla riva del Lago Maggiore per condividere tra tutti i Partners il nuovo stato di avanzamento lavori.   L’occasione segnerà una linea importante per tracciare la vision del percorso futuro, discutendo le iniziative da mettere in campo da qui al 2025 consolidando gli obiettivi che guidano il Progetto NODES. Nel corso dell'evento un momento particolare sarà dedicato al Pitch & Poster Contest che vedrà protagonisti i 15 Progetti Bandiera dei 7 Spoke. L’Assemblea coinvolgerà gli Atenei di progetto, i poli d'innovazione, i centri di ricerca, gli incubatori, i competence center, gli acceleratori. Il gruppo di lavoro si confronterà per tutta la giornata contribuendo ognuno con le proprie esperienze, idee, metodologie a tracciare la strada.

Martedì 18 Giugno 2024 proseguono i webinar per le imprese@NODES con un momento importante dedicato alla piattaforma ATWORK, lo strumento messo a disposizione del MUR per la gestione dei fondi PNRR.    Durante il webinar "No panic con ATWORK" le imprese finanziate da NODES attraverso i bandi a cascata scopriranno le modalità di utilizzo dei tools per le fasi di monitoraggio e rendicontazione dei loro progetti.
