The course, with a managerial focus, is aimed at those who need to know the logic and structure of the financial statements with particular reference to the typical items of hospitality businesses. In the first part, the general principles concerning the preparation of the company balance sheet, the formats and contents of the balance sheet and the income statement are analysed, with a focus on the aspects most relevant to smaller companies. In the second part, a practical exercise will be used where typical management operations will be resumed and their effect on the budget will be analysed. During the course it will be explained how to use the reclassified balance sheet as a tool for making decisions also in a logic of digitalization and sustainability.
