Gender Equality Certification System
Info utili
The “Gender Equality Certification System” is an intervention of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) under the auspices of the Department for Equal Opportunities of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, which aims to accompany and encourage companies to adopt policies that are appropriate for reducing the gender gap in the world of work.
The refresher course on Gender Equality Certification System, organized within the NODES project by the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures of the University of Insubria, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Como and Lecco, will be divided into two meetings during which some key topics will be addressed: the regulatory context; the certification procedure; incentives (testimonials and good practices), declined with specific reference to small and medium-sized enterprises (first meeting) and large enterprises (second meeting).
The meetings will be held by professors from the Department of Law, Economics and Cultures of the University of Insubria: Prof. Barbara Pozzo, Prof. Valentina Jacometti, Prof. Lilli Viviana Casano, experts from the Chamber of Commerce of Como and Lecco, experts from certification bodies and representatives of companies that have undertaken the certification process.
The training course is aimed at entrepreneurs/administrators and company managers of interested functions (management systems managers, sustainability managers, HSE managers, etc.), consultants, professionals, students, researchers. Through in-depth knowledge of the gender equality certification system, the aim is to provide companies and professionals involved in the training course with a complete and operational guide for starting the certification process and for using the available public incentives.
The aim of the course is to contribute to the promotion of a culture of equality in the workplace, actively supporting companies, especially small businesses, that may encounter greater difficulties in undertaking a certification process. The experience of companies that have already undertaken this path (some of which will be called upon to intervene) confirms the usefulness of the certification path for identifying the obstacles that, at the individual company and system level, undermine substantial gender equality and the full and satisfactory participation of women in professional growth opportunities, essential elements for the promotion of social sustainability.
