SWIM
Smart and remote Working Improvement

Scheda del progetto
The project is divided into the development of solutions, devices, tools and IT services aimed at supporting activities in the field of remote working. The unifying element is the use of digital technologies to improve business performance by introducing conciliatory policies. The project intends to achieve a "virtualization and digitalization of production processes" in which the various actors involved (employees, collaborators, client companies) can interact and contribute to building process sections. Remote working, in addition to meeting employee conciliation needs, allows you to manage peaks in demand thanks to the possibility of activating additional collaborators and professionals. The creation and making available of the SWIM platform could also contribute to containing the phenomenon of depopulation of Apulian municipalities, especially those located in internal and marginal areas.

putting different solutions in a single container, the platform, producing connectors between the various chosen applications that allow them to be put in communication without having to design and produce new integration systems every time. Furthermore, the aim is to create standard processes through a database that brings together and connects different elementary processes to respond to macro processes.
The platform described aims to reduce various quantities including: costs, market response times (Time-to-market) and distances, focusing precisely on the improvement of smart and remote working methods. The possibility of working with collaborators, customers and suppliers without being bound by the physical location in which they carry out their work activities allows you to apply innovation at all levels starting from the local regional level, moving to the national one and finally reaching the international one .
This knowledge will contribute to the creation of new business models and sales formats capable of increasing the competitiveness of the proposing companies. The initiative has a positive impact on the environment as it helps reduce travel and optimizes the use of resources. Greater benefits will be found from its use in rural and disadvantaged areas, where travel involves a significant time commitment, helping to avoid depopulation.
From a social point of view, the employee's quality of life is improved, both for work-life balance needs and for the individual choice to work remotely.
