Specifically, the discussion will focus on the regulatory requirements concerning the biocompatibility of medical devices according to the State of Art (SOTA).
Goal of the webinar
The biocompatibility assessment of a medical device is essential for identifying, evaluating, and managing the biological risk of a medical device.
The webinar will provide an overview of the issues related to the biological evaluation of medical devices, including the general safety and performance requirements of the MDR. The expectations of Notified Bodies regarding the biocompatibility assessments will also be discussed.
The webinar will also provide an overview of the general safety and performance requirements (GSPR) of the MDR related to biological safety.
