Round GRIP Stage 1 - How did it go?

On March 13, 2024, Spoke 2 met for the first stage of Round GRIP, a traveling series of meetings aimed at connecting the world of research with the world of business on the core themes of the Spoke.
Opening the day at the Environment Park Congress Center, following the institutional greetings, was Duccio Travaglini - co-founder of Greencome, LinkedIn Top Voice 2023, and Forbes Under 30. He delivered a disruptive speech on the role of the modern (and future) entrepreneur and what it truly means to be sustainable and create impact in 2024.

During the coffee break, the actual B2B and B2R (Business-to-Research) session took place, providing the winners of the first cut-off of the NODES Line A and B cascade calls, as well as the Research Module leaders, with the opportunity to present their projects.
For them, Spoke 2 prepared a dynamic and interactive poster session: each project (or RM) presented its activities through a specially designed poster. Each participant, who had received a total of nine plastic caps in three different colors at the entrance, was tasked with voting for their favorites based on predefined parameters linked to the colors: project originality, positive environmental impact, and investment attractiveness.

After an hour and a half of networking and voting, Edoardo Braccio, Spoke 2 Project Manager, and Nicole Mariotti, Third Parties Project Manager, took the stage to discuss the extensive catalog of activities and training programs active within NODES Spoke 2.
Following this, Duccio returned to the stage for another interactive session: through the Sli.do platform, we explored the audience's opinions on topics related to green technologies, sustainable industry, and innovation. At the bottom of this page, you can find the charts with the results.

To conclude the voting, the guest of honor Anna Monticelli from the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center presented the award to Elena Ferrero, representing AtelierRiforma - an innovative startup that created Re4Circular. Indeed, this project was the overall most voted by all participants.
So, who won?
- Project Originality: Re4Circular
- Impatto positivo sull’ambiente: LIW@SPACE
- Positive Environmental Impact: RM5 - CO2 capture and conversion platform: biochemical, chemo-catalytic and electrochemical conversion processes
