The project intends to activate a series of "flexplaces" in mountain communities, places for remote working and interaction that are economically, socially and environmentally sustainable, through the creation of a digital supply chain that involves the entire territory. The objectives are: to revive the mountain villages by attracting the so-called. “digital nomads”; make physical infrastructure and digital systems available for remote working and leisure; collect, analyze and release environmental, energy and social data on the use of "flexplaces". The sustainability of the project is monitored through the virtual assistant Dorota, a precious AI resource designed for the retrieval, processing and release of data deriving from the use of "flexplaces" in Digital Mountain Communities.

The challenge
Document

Adapting infrastructure through investments in advanced technology to support both on-site and remote working; privacy and security management; flexibility in booking spaces; physical and virtual communication and collaboration; managing expectations and information about work in shared environments; company culture and sense of community among members working both on-site and remotely; fair performance monitoring; adaptation to changing needs; respond to competition with continuous innovation and high-quality services.

Why is it innovative
Document

The workplaces (coworking, third places) are conceived and developed according to the logic of "space as a service" with related technological implications and logic of "user experience" of the working day designed and managed directly by the worker thanks to the Ultrapp platform ( booking of scheduled services and activities, choice of workplaces and use of the services offered as part of the Ultradistrict project managed by the neighborhood partners).

Impact on users
Document

The impact on the territory will be of various types: scientific for the possibility of experimenting and acquiring direct data on the socio-environmental dynamics of a digital community based on remote work; social and environmental for the possibility of monitoring movements, energy consumption, material flows (water, waste, furniture and consumables), giving an indication of which strategies to adopt to reduce their impacts, as well as promoting a more dynamic work culture and more awareness of environmental implications in the community involved; finally, economic/technological for the introduction of new products and services into the market.
