EURIX with the WOW project proposes a human-in-the-loop solution to support individual work and productivity in mountain environments through teleworking, co-working, and indoor work. The WOW solution automatically collects both objective data on Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) using innovative IoT infrastructure, and subjective data on workers' well-being and productivity.
If well-being and productivity indices deviate from recommended values, the WOW solution will provide useful insights to workers to enhance working conditions and productivity. Machine Learning models capturing the relationship between productivity and collected data will generate these insights.
The end user, Alta Langa Mountain Union, will contribute to validating the system in a real operational environment and enhancing the solution's impact on the territory.

The challenge lies in promoting the competitiveness of companies and research institutions by reliably assessing productivity, adaptively estimating Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ), and objectively comparing Machine Learning models.
The WOW solution will ensure a coherent view of the key drivers of well-being and productivity in teleworking, co-working, and indoor work environments, enhancing user awareness of working conditions. Automatic alerts and monitoring of well-being and productivity indices, supported by Machine Learning models correlating productivity with objective and subjective data, will provide practical suggestions to improve the work environment and plan targeted interventions in these settings.
The WOW solution aims to counteract depopulation in low-density mountain areas by fostering the creation of work environments that retain workers. It will offer greater flexibility in working, as it enhances productivity even remotely while ensuring well-being. Thanks to WOW, individuals with caregiving responsibilities or special needs will no longer be excluded but can actively participate in the workforce. WOW will also streamline facility management and maintenance operations through quick anomaly alerts. Lastly, it will assist property owners and real estate managers in certifying buildings as healthy and increasing their value.
