ROBO-HOSPITAL
ROBOtized platform for the management of biological samples inside HOSPITALs

Scheda del progetto
The ROBO-HOSPITAL project aims to develop an integrated robotic system to manage test tubes and biological samples in the healthcare context with particular focus on sample preparation operations post-collection.
Key features of the project include precise sample handling, automatic tracking, safe packaging, sanitizing of test tubes and transport containers, as well as advanced connectivity features to integrate laboratory information systems and axchange information related to the biological sample.
This means: increased operational efficiency, sample safety, process transparency and a reduction in non-conformity errors.
Presented by ROBOSAN S.r.l., the project aims to automate and simplify the management and preparation of biological samples, helping to optimize health resources and ensure a more reliable and secure service for all patients.

The project focuses on creating an advanced robotic platform for the management of biological samples in hospitals. Currently, the manual process of handling test tubes involves biological risks and human errors, causing inefficiency and increased costs.
The developed robotic platform aims to improve the efficiency and safety of pre-analytical procedures, reducing diagnostic errors and hospital operational costs. With effective implementation, it could solve a significant problem, enhancing hospital processes and reducing long-term costs.
The integrated robotic system for test tube management offers an advanced solution for healthcare logistics, enhancing efficiency and safety. Its key features include precise handling with robotic arms to reduce the risk of damage, real-time automatic tracking for optimized inventory management, automatic sanitization of test tubes for maximum safety, and secure packaging in sealed containers. Additionally, advanced connectivity enables integration with healthcare data management systems and automatic transmission of information to analysis laboratories.
The main benefits of automation in test tube management include efficiency gains, with reduced time spent on handling and increased attention to patients by medical staff. Additionally, sample safety is ensured by eliminating the risk of contamination or human errors, along with process transparency through comprehensive tracking and automatic logging of each step. Reduction of errors related to sample identification is made possible by automatic labeling and tracking. These improvements contribute to optimizing healthcare resources and ensure a more reliable and secure service for all patients.
