Starting from the definition of the ''microbiota-gut-brain'' axis, updated knowledge will be provided on the structure, functioning and significant homologies between the intestinal and blood-brain barried. Shared information will also be presented on the importance of quantitative analysis of the components of epithelial/endothelial barriers in the body. Furthermore, the webinar will discuss about oxysterols and, in particular approaches to the quantitative analysis of oxysterols on various ma matrices and their impact on Western-type diets.
