From the innovations introduced with the new Industrial Property Code to the support of enhancing research through the creation and growth of start-ups and spin-offs.
Within the university, the enhancement of knowledge and the definition of the social impact of research are becoming increasingly important at local, national and international levels, with a view to broadly promoting the third mission.
The course is open to students of Doctoral and Specialization Schools, research staff (of any level and contractual status), faculty members, and technical-administrative staff, with a particular focus on those involved in the NODES project.
Goal of the workshop
The workshop will focus on two main aspects of knowledge valorization: the tools for protecting and managing industrial and intellectual property, including recent changes to the code, and the strategies for transferring academic inventions to the local and productive sectors, with a particular emphasis on academic entrepreneuriship.
The programme will cover the generation and management of Industrial Property Rights arising from research, the importance of technology transfer and knowledge valorization for social impact, approaches to valorizing University Industry Property, as well as the role of start-ups and spin-offs in research.
The workshop is part of the initiatives outlined in work packegae 5 (WP5) of Spoke 5, aimed at stimulating entrepreneurial development actions.
