DIGICAT focuses on developing a digitisable process for the production of biostimulants from digestate aimed at improving the health and yield of crops. The resulting material will be tested in the field to validate its functional effectiveness on tomatoes. The final process for producing the material in a controlled and digitised reactor, along with its process control specifications, will be the end product of the service.

The proposed consultancy supports Ethos's positioning as a pioneer in the field of biostimulants derived from digestate, leveraging innovation and sustainability to address the growing environmental and production demands. This enables the company to stand out in the rapidly expanding landscape of agronomic offerings, providing added value through underutilised business resources.
The transformation of digestate into biostimulants is a still underexplored frontier that brings ecological and economic benefits. The process adds value to by-products that are relatively low in quality and already present on the farm. This represents a unique market niche, not yet exploited by large companies that prefer to develop products from scratch. This process transforms and enhances a farm product while also addressing the needs of a more resilient and productive agriculture.
Integrating biostimulants into Ethos's product range leads to business diversification and potentially opens up new collaborations in the agricultural sector. In addition to providing support in selecting technologies for efficiency and sustainability, Ethos would offer a proprietary process to achieve these goals, allowing for the enhancement of digestate (transforming it from by-product to biostimulant). Consequently, Ethos will further position itself at the heart of the modernisation processes of the farms it supplies, resulting in a larger and more varied workload.
