PESTWIN
PESTWIN proposes the development of a digital twin, an advanced simulation model that combines biological and environmental data to facilitate the study of agricultural pests and enable more targeted and effective management. The digital twin will initially be applied to the fruit fly *Drosophila suzukii*, but it will be highly flexible and extendable in the future to other harmful insect species. The simulation environment will integrate biology, mathematics, physics, and artificial intelligence to create a tool capable of informing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies, facilitating increased agricultural productivity and a reduction in the use of chemical insecticides.    Contacts: Matteo Rucco matteo.rucco@biocentis.com

AGRI-SMART
The aim of the project is to develop a distributed monitoring sensor system that will allow farmers to observe the soil moisture status in real-time across different micro-zones. This will ensure effective irrigation of water-scarce micro-zones while saving water resources where moisture levels are already adequate. The project will introduce elements of radical innovation into the reference market by developing a product characterised by lower costs, greater sensitivity and precision, as well as enhanced environmental sustainability compared to the technology currently available.   Contacts: Giacomo Paolo Manessi giacomo.manessi@elsenuclear.com

VINE-AI
VINE-AI aims to implement a cloud-based web platform for monitoring the health of grapevines. The system includes a subsystem of artificial intelligence trained to recognise abiotic stresses (e.g., water or nutrient deficiencies) in the vines and the presence of specific pests through the analysis of a set of sample leaves. The training process for the AI will be built around a simple web interface and an automated system, through which a dynamic machine learning process will be trained.   Contacts: Gaston Ezequiel Di Filippo g.difilippo@betacom.it

VIPRES
The project aims to assist producers in meticulously monitoring their vineyards during the growing season, providing valuable data for targeted field operations, such as variable rate fertilisation and cluster thinning, aimed at achieving high-quality standards. This is made possible by Cartographer, an innovative proximal sensing system developed by Green Atlas, a spin-off from the University of Sydney. The requested service will enable the development of a specific operational protocol for the enological objectives of the most representative grape varieties in the Terre d’Oltrepò region using Cartographer technology.    Contacts: Roberta Cambiaghi r.cambiaghi@terredoltrepo.it

SMART-SILO
SmartSilo aims to develop an interconnected silo for the 'intelligent' supply of feed and to enhance sustainability in the dairy sector. The silos in dairy farms will be equipped with load cells connected to both the farm's computers and those of the suppliers to automatically and remotely monitor the quantity present in the silo and the daily consumption. This system will be developed and optimised in an experimental farm equipped with precision systems for monitoring feed consumption. All collected information, including performance and feed consumption, will enable the nutritionist to adjust the diet and select the feed according to the animals' needs.   Contacts: Franco Gerevini franco.gerevini@sivamspa.it

APNR
The project involves collecting all relevant data in the context of a "farm to fork" approach to support the creation of a sustainable and resilient supply chain model, targeting producers, the horeca sector, and consumers. The data gathered in an ever-changing environmental, climatic, and economic context, through the use of digital technologies involving the production chain, will form the information base necessary to build a strategy of valorization and transparency for a high-quality and excellent product like Pinot Noir. On pilot vineyard installations, technical trials will be conducted to sustainably mitigate water stress through practices such as under-vine mulching, emergency irrigation tests, and trials of nets to reduce excessive solar radiation—techniques that have so far been underutilized or not used at all.    Contacts: Antonio Seggioli  antonio.seggioli@projectfarm.it
