UFTAI concerns the implementation of ultrasonic technology designed by Metacibus for the agri-food sector, aimed at reducing energy and water consumption, thereby lowering costs, increasing shelf life, and improving the nutritional and sensory profile of food products released into the market. The requested services support the design and development of the system and the control of the treatment process, enabling the creation of a prototype and the transition to pre-industrialisation and market entry.

The challenge
Document

The consultancy will enable the Company to offer an innovative technology for the automated treatment of food raw materials, capable of i) controlling the process for each type of food to be treated and ii) detecting the quality and characteristics of the raw materials, both before and after treatment. This will be achieved with distinctive features and properties, as well as substantial improvements over the current state of the art available in the market.

Why is it innovative
Document

The machinery will be developed by incorporating innovative elements (Artificial Intelligence engine, predictive models for data collection and analysis related to food processing). This will allow for a more diverse offering towards i) end consumers/HORECA, who will benefit from high-quality food products, and ii) processing companies, which will enjoy greater environmental sustainability within their production processes (reduced water and energy consumption, increased yield of raw materials, less waste generation, and extended shelf life).

Impact on the users
Document

The consultancy will enable the Company to i) accelerate the development of customised food lines with exclusive recipes ready for commercialisation, and ii) diversify the machinery based on different food categories (e.g., meat, legumes, fish) and various market demands, thereby creating new and diverse business opportunities through improvements in production processes within the agri-food sector. Ultimately, METACIBUS would become a technological first mover in its specific reference market.
