Scheda del progetto
The project involves the development of a Cubesat-class nanosatellite based on the use of digital twin for mission control and management and capable of performing optical band monitoring of target satellites. This capability is one of the key enabling elements for all future in-orbit service operations, both from the perspective of satellite maintenance and space debris removal.

To know how to respond to the needs for security and operational durability of assets in orbit, needs that are increasingly felt due to the current global geo-political scenario and the increasingly strategic relevance that space is rapidly acquiring.
For the proposed project, we will aim to apply the typical Cubesat mission model philosophy based on using a flat-sat model for the development and implementation of Digital Twin models and payload and proto-flight model (PFM) algorithms as the flight model.
Satellite operators and space agencies can benefit from in-orbit servicing as it allows them to extend the life of their assets, reducing the costs associated with satellite replacement. NATO country defenses and commercial operators themselves in the field will benefit from space asset protection solutions resulting in guaranteed continuity of the strategic services these assets support.
