9th International Workshop on Layered and Nanostructured Materials

SPOKE 2 IWLNM 2024

The 9th edition of the International Workshop on Layered and Nanostructured Materials (IWLNM 24), will be held from 23 to 26 June 2024 in Perugia, a beautiful city with a remarkable cultural heritage and artistic life and an exceptional architectural heritage.

The conference takes up the legacy of previous editions (2006-Alessandria, Italy; 2008-Vercelli, Italy; 2010-Bochum, Germany; 2012-Campinas, Brazil; 2014-Mulhouse, France; 2016-Kutna Hora, Czech Republic; 2018- Krakov, Poland; 2022-Toledo, Spain) focused on the synthesis, characterisation and applications of lamellar materials such as metal phosphates/phosphonates, hydrotalcites, clays, graphene, MXenes and nanostructured materials, including silicates and zeolites, transition metal oxides and organic-inorganic hybrids.

The scientific programme

Materials synthesis, advanced characterisation methods, modification and application of lamellar and nanostructured materials.

The workshop is jointly organised by researchers from the Department of Science and Technological Innovation (DISIT) of the University of Eastern Piedmont and researchers from the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Perugia.

In particular, for DISIT, Prof. Chiara Bisio (co-chair), Prof. Leonardo Marchese and Prof. Fabio Carniato (scientific committee) and Dr. Vanessa Miglio (organising committee) are involved.

The event has an international character and is addressed to all researchers interested in the world of laminated and nanostructured materials.

The 9th edition of the workshop represents a unique opportunity to deepen the synthesis and applications of advanced materials, in line with the objectives of Spoke 2 of the NODES project, promoting innovative solutions of circular economy, green and sustainable industrial processes, and digitisation for a low environmental impact industrial future.
