New RM5 study: EDA and ECG monitoring to investigate the effect of social dynamics on cognitive tasks

Research Module 5 of TINCARE NODES - Spoke 5 project has launched a new study focused on analyzing the impact of social interactions on stress and cognitive performance, using integrated non-invasive physiological monitoring and gamified digital tasks.
During the experimental sessions, participants complete exercises designed at studying memory and executive functions, and how these are influenced by cooperative or competitive contexts. During activity electrodermal activity (EDA) and electrocardiogram (ECG) signals are recorded to monitor physiological activation and emotional responses.
This methodological approach allows us to sutyd how different social contexts influence stress regulation and effectiveness in cognitive tasks. The ultimate goal is to develop a digital platform for cognitive rehabilitation, designed for individuals with cognitive decline as well as anyone wishing to keep their mind active - that integrates gamification, rehabilitation and principles of neuroaesthetics to enhance engagement and intervention effectiveness.
