The MEDASSIST project aims to develop a remote a telehealth assistance device using a Head Mounted Display (hmd) with Near-to-Eye (NTE) binocular display. This device will alow healthcare providers to exchange video and vital signs with specialized professionals remotely, enhancing access to care in remote areas or emergency situations. In addition, it will facilitate timely and high-quality medical consultations, reducing costs and optimizing disease management. Overall, significant advancements in healthcare efficiency and quality are anticipated, with reduced wait times and personalized care delivered promptly. The project leader, Illogic, specializing in digital creativity, possesses expertise in the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring effective design, planning and development.

The system, based on Dart MX8 hardware and IoT, aims to improve paramedic support and care for the elderly. It offers features such as First Person View and Remote Assistance Software for more effective management of emergencies.

It will be compact, portable and user-friendly, suitable for various healthcare scenarios. The dedicated software will allow the access to central resources and ensure continuity of care. The MEDASSIST project integrates innovative technologies,develops new software and enhances existing systems, promising a significant impact on public health.

The proposed telemedicine solution offers long-term positive impacts: scientific, economic and social. The expected effect is an overall enhancement of rescue and assistance operations, initially experienced at a regional level with the goal of national scalability.
